Welcome to the North Suburban Hockey League

The North Suburban Hockey League has been in existence since 1984, serving the youth of the Northshore and surrounding communities. Our main office and home rink is the Kasabuski Arena located at 201 Forest Street, Saugus, MA. Our league play also includes sites at the Porazzo Rink in East Boston, the Larsen Rink in Winthrop and the Stoneham Arena in Stoneham, MA. Our league consists of Mini-Mite X-Ice Competition, Mite Instructional through Midgets. From Mites to Midgets we have four levels, Red, White, Blue and Green (Our Red level for example would be a program's A or 1 Team) and so forth. Our league is governed by USA Hockey and Mass Hockey.
The North Suburban Hockey League has a Rules and Improvement Committee made up of our long-time League Reps and supporters of the North Suburban Hockey League. This Committee oversees League Rules, Disciplinary Action, as well as the constant commitment to improving the league and enhancing the hockey experience at all levels.
The North Suburban Hockey League is also committed to excellent communication between programs and the league, league reps and individual coaches, who participate in our league. We understand that everyone's lives are very busy and because of this we know we have to work with each program to insure their schedules are suitable and arranged to insure the least amount of conflicts possible. We understand that many programs choose to be in two leagues and have limited practice time as well as offering power skating and skills sessions, therefore, with the enhancement of our website, e-mail communication, and daily presence in our hockey office we are able to provide a smooth schedule and enjoyable hockey experience for all.
We also understand time is of the essence, this is why when we set up our schedule for an individual town or program, we try to schedule games in arenas as close to each individual home town as much as possible to cut down travel time. This has become very important with price of gas these days and we recognize that.
Our fees
We have a $300.00 per team registration fee which is credited back to your program in March. Our game fees are $195.00 per game, all teams must be rostered by the program's registrar.
